Friday to Monday

Day 1. Welcome to Holland

We depart Cobham Services in the early morning for our ferry crossing over to the Continent. From here we make our way to vibrant Rotterdam, with a comfort stop along the way.

Day 2. Keukenhof Gardens

A wonderful day awaits you today. After breakfast we travel to the gardens at Keukenhof. Here seven million flowers carpet the ground in a breathtaking horticultural display that attracts visitors from around the world each year. Wander the pathways that meander through this floral paradise, perhaps stopping in one of the gardens’ restaurants and cafes for lunch.

Day 3. Dutch Historic Rail and Sail Day

Travel across Houtribdijk, a 17 mile dike built between 1963 and 1975. Watch out for the radio station half way. Arriving in Enkhuizen we board the museum ship Friesland for a cruise to Medemblik. On arrival in Medemblik we have time for some lunch before boarding the steam train to Hoorn. Wooden carriages creak, wheels sing and steam hisses as you travel through the Dutch countryside. The bulbfields should be in full bloom!

Day 4. Homeward Journey

Today we retrace our steps through Belgium to France and our ferry back to England. We then continue our journey back to Cobham Services, where our taxis will be waiting to take you home in the evening.
