We visit Longleat Safari Park. On arrival at the park there will be a chance to use the facilities before the coach takes you on a safari tour that’s wilder, furrier and growlier than you ever dared imagine. After the tour there will be time to enjoy Longleat before night falls and the thirty acres of the ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped grounds are transformed by giant lantern displays. Each year there is a different theme; in recent years the theme has been ‘The Books of Roald Dahl’ ‘Myths and Legends’ and ‘A Fantastic Voyage around the World.’
On our return journey, we travel into central Bath for its award-winning Christmas market. During the run up to Christmas the streets surrounding the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey are turned into a festive shopping paradise by the arrival of over one hundred wooden chalets filled with handmade and local Christmas gifts and good things to eat and drink.
The Limpley Stoke Hotel is just a twenty-minute drive from the city of Bath and overlooks the spectacular Limpley Stoke Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. This traditional Georgian country house has a delightful village setting and offers individually designed en suite rooms, well equipped with flat screen TV, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities and a phone. PlEASE NOTE: Rooms are located on three floors and a lift offers access to the first two floors with stair access to all three. Due to the original architecture of the Georgian period property, all floors have varying levels and do require some access via steps/stairs.
