Day 1. Welcome to Bristol
We pick you up from your door and journey to n Bristol, breaking for lunch in Chippenham. Tea/coffee on arrival.
Day 2. SS Great Britain and Bristol
We take a guided tour of the SS Great Britain, the ship that changed the way we travel forever. Explore the ship’s story and the engineer behind it, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. In 1970, the SS Great Britain Project brought the rusting shell of the SS Great Britain home from the Falkland Islands, braving 8,000 miles of stormy sea, in an attempt to save it from ruin and keep its story alive. The rest of the day is free to explore to Bristol. There’s a magnificent Cathedral, great shopping and a trail of Banksy artworks to explore.
Day 3. Bath
Built for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. The waters are still a big draw, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. Bath's stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture is straight from a Jane Austen novel - highlights include the iconic Royal Crescent and the majestic Circus. Bath’s compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain.
Day 4. Homeward Journey
Sadly, we wave goodbye to our hosts at the Hilton Garden Inn. Lunch break in Cirencester. Arrive mid afternoon for our taxis home.
