Day 1. Welcome to Scotland
We pick you up from your door and journey to Scotland. An early start today!
Day 2. Stirling Castle
The entrance to the castle, with Robert The Bruce looking out over Stirling with the Wallace Monument in the background, is a very impressive sight which also includes Stirling Bridge, famous for the Battle of Stirling Bridge, where the Scots under William Wallace defeated the English in 1297.
Day 3. The Kelpies and Three Bridges Cruise
This morning we visit one of Scotland’s top attractions - The Kelpies. Standing at 100ft tall and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, the magical Kelpies are a man-made wonder and a feat of engineering. The works of art, created by artist Andy Scott. Afterwards, the tour heads towards Edinburgh for a wonderful cruise under the three famous Forth Bridges, spanning nearly 140 years of Scottish engineering. The latest bridge opened in 2017 and is the longest three tower cable-stayed bridge in the world.
Day 4. Inveraray, ‘Rest and be Thankful’ and Loch Lomond
A magnificent day of sightseeing awaits - Loch Lomond, then across towards the Arrochar Alps and Loch Long. Over the “Rest and Be Thankful” with free time in the ancient town of Inveraray, on Loch Fyne, with its castle dominating the skyline.
Day 5. Homeward Journey
Sadly, we wave goodbye to our hosts at the Rob Roy. Arrive mid evening for our taxis home.
