Day 1. Welcome to the Sunrise Coast!
We pick you up from your door and journey to Great Yarmouth. Tea/coffee on arrival.
Day 2. Norwich
Norwich is dominated by a magnificent Norman cathedral, which is celebrated as one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Europe and has the second tallest spire in the country. Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery is one of the city's most famous landmarks and the county's principal museum. Enjoy excellent shopping in Castle Mall and the permanent outdoor market!
Day 3. Cromer and Blickling (NT)
Morning visit to Cromer, which is famous for its crab fishing. Cromer also has a Victorian pier, which in the summer hosts the last ‘end-of-the-pier show’ in the country. In the afternoon, we visit Blickling, a Jacobean mansion with Long Gallery Library holding its nationally important book collection. There’s also 55 acres of formal garden, the result of three centuries of planting, with ancient yews, parterre, lake and kitchen garden.
Day 4. Suffolk Coast Tour
A tour along the Suffolk coast. Break for coffee in picturesque resort of Southwold, which has a pleasant pier and colourful beach huts, some of which sell for over £250,000 each! Travel past ‘the House in the Clouds’ and break for lunch in Aldeburgh, where fishermen still bring haul their fresh catch up the beach to sell.
Day 5. Homeward Journey
Sadly, we wave goodbye to our hosts at the Prom Hotel, arriving late afternoon for our taxis home.
