Sudbury's first known mention as a Market Town was in the Doomsday Book of 1086, however a Royal Charter reveals there was a market in Sudbury as far back as 1009. This traditional market has all the goodies you would hope to find and more! Nestled in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, surrounded by ancient woodlands, Lavenham is one of the most important and best-preserved Medieval villages in England. Picture tiny streets lined with timber-framed buildings, an expansive market square surrounded by iconic Medieval and Tudor halls and a thriving community with independent shops, cafés and restaurants with plenty to see and do.
