Bure Valley Railway and Broads cruise

We take a steam train ride on the Bure Valley Railway from Aylsham to Wroxham. The railway runs along the picturesque Bure Valley, following the meandering river through meadowland and ancient pasture stopping occasionally at small country villages. We break for lunch in Wroxham the ‘Capital of the Norfolk Broads’. In the afternoon, we enjoy a memorable two hour cruise on the River Bure, lined with unique properties – including the former holiday home of George Formby!

Norwich

The city is dominated by a magnificent Norman cathedral, which is celebrated as one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Europe and has the second tallest spire in the country. Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery is one of the city's most famous landmarks and the county's principal museum. Enjoy excellent shopping in Castle Mall and the permanent outdoor market!

Cromer and Felbrigg Hall

Morning visit to Cromer, which is famous for its crab fishing. Cromer also has a Victorian pier, which in the summer hosts the last ‘end-of-the-pier show’ in the country. In the afternoon, we visit Felbrigg, one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia. Truly a hidden gem, the Hall is a place of surprises and delights, with a fine Gothic style library and a magnificent collection of Grand Tour paintings. The walled garden is beautiful.
