Blackpool Illuminations

In the evening enjoy the world-famous Blackpool Illuminations. The sort of spectacle that everyone should see at least once, the Illuminations enthral millions of visitors every year and has been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction since 1879 when they were described as ‘Artificial Sunshine’. Our hotel is right on the front, so hop on a tram and see ‘the greatest free light show on earth’!

Lake District

We head north to the Lake District, so beautiful with golden Autumn hues reflecting on the mighty lakes. We break for lunch in Bowness, where there will be time to take a cruise on Windermere.

Blackpool

There is so much to see and do! Ride on a vintage tram and there are three piers to choose from, with all the traditional amusements. Blackpool Tower is a true British institution. It is the iconic feature of Blackpool’s famous seafront and continues to bring as much joy to visitors as it did when it was first constructed in 1894.

Maritime Liverpool

There is so much to see and do in the vibrant city of Liverpool. There are two cathedrals to visit, great shopping, fascinating museums in Albert Dock and lovely parks. You can walk down Matthew Street and see where it all began for the Beatles at the Cavern Club or shop at Liverpool One.
